Chain Link Fencing
Hard-wearing, cost-effective chain link — the practical choice for dog runs, large yards, and commercial sites. One of Frank's specialties alongside wood and aluminum.
The workhorse fence
Chain link does one job extremely well: it encloses a lot of ground, securely, for less than any other fence — and then asks almost nothing of you afterwards. No staining, no sealing, no rot.
It comes galvanized (the classic silver) or black vinyl-coated, which reads far softer against a lawn or treeline and is what most homeowners choose now.
Where chain link makes sense
- Dog runs & large yards — the most fence per dollar, and dogs can see out.
- Commercial & industrial sites — secure boundaries, gates sized for vehicles.
- Sports courts & play areas — tall runs that keep balls in without blocking light.
- Back and side lot lines — where a full privacy fence isn't worth the spend.
What it won't do
Chain link isn't a privacy fence, and it isn't accepted as a pool enclosure — it's climbable. If you're enclosing a pool, look at aluminum or a wood fence built to the pool spec.
